The majestic Quran controversy
Allah سبحانه وتعالى the all Merciful and compassionate, revealed in the Quran that He is close to the man and will answer people when they pray to Him. One of the relevant verses is as follows:
“And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah: 186)
As stated in the verse here, Allah is close to everyone. He has knowledge of everyone’s wishes, feelings, thoughts, anything whispered, every word uttered, and even what is concealed in one’s thoughts. Consequently, Allah hears and knows everyone who turns to Him and prays to Him. This is Allah’s blessing on mankind and clear evidence of His Mercy and grace and infinite power.
The secret knowledge in Quran
The person who has faith in Allah’s power over everything, and every being, every object, from the seemingly most powerful people to the magnificent celestial bodies to a tiny animal dwelling on Earth, all belong to Allah and are all under His complete will and control, he can pray to Allah and hope that Allah will answer those prayers. For example, a person with some kind of fear or anxiety can pray to Allah to relieve and remove the fear. A person who is seized by an incurable disease will surely depend on medical care but the true believer knows that medical care comes after knowing that only Allah سبحانه وتعالى restores health and recovery. A person who encounters difficulties in his life can turn to Allah for the removal of difficulties. Pray to Allah for countless things, for guidance, for Jannah, to be with prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in paradise, for a better grasp of paradise, hell, and the majesty of God.
“Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Little do you remember.” (Surah An-naml: 62)
However, there is another secret disclosed in the Holy Quran which deserves to mention at this point, Allah states in Surah Al-Isra verse: 11, “And man supplicates for evil as he supplicates for good, and man is ever hasty.”
Not every prayer you pray may be beneficial for you. For example, you may ask Allah for more property and wealth for your children’s future. However, Allah may not see any goodness in this request. the prosperity may turn the children away from Allah. In this sense, Allah hears your call, accepts it as a form of worship, and answers it in the best way. Allah answers the prayer, not in the form the person thought, but in the best way. “And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein”. (Surah Qaf: 16) Consequently, each time one prays to Allah, he should be aware that Allah سبحانه وتعالى will accept his prayers as worship and Allah will answer his call in the most appropriate time and create the best for him.
The secret of the Quran and remembering Allah
Only in remembering Allah do hearts find satisfaction. “Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah, hearts are assured.” (Surah Ar-rad: 28) this is a very important secret Allah revealed in the Quran. Nothing in this material world can bring true peace and happiness. Only believers who are sincerely devoted to Allah and who are cognizant of Allah’s mercy can attain a peaceful state of the heart. It is vain to seek happiness by any other means.
